Bets Dressed - Week 14 - Thursday Night Football Uniform Matchup and Player Props

Week 14 is upon us. And we’re starting off on a high note with the best Thursday Night Football game of the season. Grab a cheesehead and get ready to chomp some kneecaps.

Ladies and gentlemen, the Knees and Cheese Bowl!

A quick note on methodology.

As always, I’m analyzing every NFL uniform matchup and picking a winner against the spread based on which team dresses best. And just because a team is ranked higher in the Uniform Wardrobe Power Rankings doesn’t mean it will automatically win the uniform matchup. It’s what you wear in the instant matchup that counts.

Looking back at Week 13.

Hello .500, my old friend. 8-8 on the week. 95-99-1 on the year. Rounding the turn into the home stretch. This is where legends are made.

Another week. Another appearance of the Honolulu Blueberries. While I’ll never aesthetically support this look over silver pants, I understand the Lions not wanting to mess with the mojo.* So in the spirit of mutual understanding, I trust Detroit will understand that the Packers are the clear choice.

It’s not every day that a divisional matchup features a third place 9-3 team and a first place 11-1 team. But here we are. For my money, the Packers and Lions are the two best teams in the NFC North and two of the three best teams in the NFC.** So I couldn’t be more excited to just sit back and enjoy what I view as a true toss-up. And if you’re going to give me three and the hook while I’m at it, even better.

*Detroit is 4-0 in the Blueberries and 0-1 in blue over silver. But the Blueberries are not their winningest combo. That honor belongs to the 6-0 Marshmallows.

**Eagles rounding out the conference triumvirate.

The Pick: Packers +3.5

Club SDR - Week 14 Player Props.

The Thanksgiving Extravaganza treated us well. 4-2 brings us to 19-22-1.

Jordan Addison - Over 47.5 Receiving Yards

Addison has come to life the last three weeks - averaging 92 yards and clearing the number in each game. Against a Falcons defense that leaves much to be desired and will be preoccupied with stopping Justin Jefferson, sign me up.

D’Andre Swift - Over 46.5 Rushing Yards

Swift hasn’t been practicing due to a groin injury. So this play may end up being a scratch. But Swift has cleared this number in seven of his last nine. If he’s able to go, an opportunity against a Niners defense that is sneaky Bottom 6 in EPA per rush is too good to pass up.

Will Levis - Over 208.5 Passing Yards

Billy Jeans plays quarterback like a stuntman. With the right editing, you buy he’s the leading man. But the raw footage tells another story. With that said, this number is low, and Levis has cleared it in his last three outings. Plus the Jags are Bottom 2 in both EPA per pass and passing yards allowed.
