Bets Dressed - Week 11 - Thursday Night Football Uniform Matchup and Player Props

Welcome to Week 11 where we’re kicking things off with a doozy of an NFC East showdown. I strenuously object to being subjected to the Commanders wardrobe. But I don’t think they can handle the truth.

Ladies and gentlemen, the Full Bird Bowl!

A quick note on methodology.

As always, I’m analyzing every NFL uniform matchup and picking a winner against the spread based on which team dresses best. And just because a team is ranked higher in the Uniform Wardrobe Power Rankings doesn’t mean it will automatically win the uniform matchup. It’s what you wear in the instant matchup that counts.

Looking back at Week 10.

Heading in the wrong direction. 5-9 on the week. 72-79-1 on the year. Better turn this ship around. And fast.

White practice pants always signal a missed opportunity. But no one wears them worse than the Commanders - especially when paired with a white jersey that forces a snakeskin gradient and perplexingly omits gold.* The Midnight Green Eagles run away with this one.

Philly has won five in a row. And now the Birds have an opportunity to build a buffer around their division lead. While I’m officially a believer in the Commanders as a playoff team, but their weakness all season has been run defense. Tough draw against an Eagles offense that is Top 3 in rushing yards and EPA per rush.

*I refuse to count the slivers of gold from the swooshes.

The Pick: Eagles -3.5

Club SDR - Week 11 Player Props.

Another 1-2 week. 13-16-1 on the year. No better time for a clean sweep than now.

Russell Wilson - Over 224.5 Passing Yards

This blurb belongs to Russ, but let’s take a moment to salute Mike Tomlin for having the guts to make a quarterback change. Would’ve been totally justified sticking with Fields, but he took Pittsburgh to the next level tossing the keys to Mr. Unlimited. Speaking of lacking limits, Baltimore has given up the most passing yards to opposing quarterbacks this season. Somebody’s feeling dangerous.

Bijan Robinson - Over 25.5 Receiving Yards

As good as the Broncos defense has been this season, they’re Bottom 5 in receiving yards allowed to opposing running backs. With Bijan clearing the number in his last four games and averaging 33 receiving yards per game, this feels right.

Jameson Williams - Over 42.5 Receiving Yards

The Jags have become a dumpster fire and are giving up the fourth most receiving yards to opposing wide receivers. Jamo might clear this number in a single play.
