Bets Dressed - Week 15 - Thursday Night Football Uniform Matchup and Player Props
Happy Week 15. Bye weeks are officially behind us. And we’ve got four weeks left to unmuddy this playoff picture. But before Jim Mora yells at me, I’m not talking about playoffs for the Chargers and Raiders. What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. And with how this game is looking from a football perspective, that’s probably for the best.
Ladies and gentlemen, the Stay in Vegas Bowl!
A quick note on methodology.
As always, I’m analyzing every NFL uniform matchup and picking a winner against the spread based on who dresses best. And just because a team is ranked higher in the Uniform Wardrobe Power Rankings doesn’t mean it will automatically win the uniform matchup. It’s what you wear in the instant matchup that counts.
Looking back at Week 14.
Another solid week in the books. 9-5-1 to bring us to 109-93-6 on the season. Home stretch. Let’s finish strong.

Any other week, Chargers at Raiders would take home best of the week. But sometimes the top spot transcends aesthetics alone (more to come on Sunday). And this one will have to settle for runner-up status. No shame there. Chargers are the pick, but uniform nirvana all around.*
The Raiders have had a season to forget. But we officially reached rock bottom for the Los Angeles Chargers. Justin Herbert is out for the year after his worst season as a pro. Brandon Staley is a dead man walking. And the overall roster is an expensive mess. But you know what they say. When life gives you lemons, upset a division rival on the road with Easton Stick at quarterback.
*If we’re going to get a bad** football game, it might as well look good.
**Bad isn’t even the right word. Irrelevant? Sad?
The Pick: Chargers +3
NOTE - The Chargers have yet to reveal their choice of pants.

The Single Digit Revolution cannot be stopped. 3-0 on the week. 27-15 on the year. Party on.
Tee Higgins - Over 38.5 Receiving Yards
It’s been a relatively down year for Higgins. And it couldn’t come at a worse time with free agency (or the franchise tag) looming. But with Jake Browning proving to be a serviceable backup, Higgins is averaging 54 yards in his last two games. And in games where the Bengals rock black jersey-black pants in the current wardrobe, Higgins is good for 82 yards per game. Now that’s my kind of aesthetic trend.
Russell Wilson - Over 217.5 Passing Yards
After a strong start, the Detroit defense has revealed themselves to be paper tigers lions. At 270 per game, they’re giving up the ninth most passing yards to opposing quarterbacks. While Wilson doesn’t exactly light the sky on fire in Denver’s offense, he’s cleared the number in two of his last four. And I think he’s going to have to sling it to keep up with the Lions offense.
Travis Etienne - Over 55.5 Rushing Yards
As elite as the Raven’s defense is, they can be had on the ground - giving up the sixth most yards per attempt (4.6) to opposing running backs since Week 6. Etienne is a volume back for the Jags, and he’s already once carry shy of his season total in 2022. At 17 carries per game this year, and with Trevor Lawrence still nursing a high ankle sprain, I like Etienne to have a healthy workload and clear the number.
